Generative AI has driven down the cost of bullshit to zero. This article also indirectly states that none of the transformer's layers capture hidden motives and intentions. Whether this is even possible is a different question. Perhaps we need a new approach to capture these modalities (if one does not exist already). Until then, maybe we should take solace in the fact that AI still has some distance to go, and until then, I won't mind a little hypnotism.
