The tragedy of this whole endeavor is that it is not going to end well for either side. Hamas, (not the Palestinians), intended to undermine the Abrahamic accords, which is why they launched this attack in broad daylight, catching Israel unprepared. If anything should have come out of this initially, it's that those responsible for security in the administration should have taken the heat. Instead, they remain, and now they are lashing out at both terrorists and innocents equally for their failures. This has resulted in Israel losing significant political capital globally, and even its closest allies are experiencing strain. Carpet bombing (figuratively speaking), a whole race of vulnerable people will not make any friends or influence anyone; they will just end up making a lot more enemies. The only way to move forward is for the war to end and both parties to come to the negotiating table.
