This is stretching the analogy way too far. I never learned mathematics, physics, or any other topics from anyone around me!I know where this argument is coming from. Over decades, higher education systems have milked the demand for education, raising prices no matter what the state of the economy. It's no surprise that student debt is still probably an issue. Learning from $149 courses may be a good start, but they are not the answer. Academic rigor has to account for something. For example: We have seen so many YouTubers posing as financial advisors and giving fake financial advice after attending a bunch of courses and tracking markets for months. This is the story of the one-eyed man leading the blind. Sacrificing the deep for the shallow does come at a cost.
