While this part may be true about the US's archaic fleet, Uncle Sam is now investing tons of money in AI and drones: - the future of war. In fact, over the last 3 years, Russian hackers have been hitting US targets countless times. It's a different issue that whatever army the Russians have is probably worse off, but the whole game of warfare has now changed!! Having made this point, merely investing in state-of-the-art digital warfare doesn't mean you drop your guard down to conventional attacks, which is what I believe happened with Israel.
