Why isn't anyone looking at Carbon Capture seriously? Despite all the solutions - renewables are yet another a political hot potato for nations to bargain with. Carbon Credits never really took off. Cutting human consumption habits will take decades, not years and meanwhile, we will just keep polluting the atmosphere. When I talk about carbon capture - its not only planting trees (as the author mentioned trees are being felled for increasing urbanization and uncontrolled human growth), its looking at technologies / devices that we could someday launch into the atmosphere with minimal energy with the intention of sucking the CO2 out. I understand Elon Musk is working on something to this effect and I also understand that the experts say that commercializing something like this is a long way off. I am just not sure whether enough energy or the right people are focusing on this segment at all.
